Sadie and Trista have decided that 13 hours of sleep was way too much for two very busy toddlers so they've been getting up at 7:00am instead of 8:00.
I told Chris that our "Sit and Sip" time is going to have to start at 6am instead of 7am.
Three days out of Chris's 4 day work week he's up, showered and out of the house by 4am but the other days of the week we get up to "sit and sip" and enjoy a quiet house before my crazy day begins.
Yesterday morning they were unusually busy. I guess not "unusually busy" cause after all they are 2! My friend stopped by and while we were talking down stairs Sadie and Trista were upstairs powdering their entire body in the bathroom.(we've been locking our bedroom door but this morning I had forgotten)
I removed them from the mess, graciously said goodbye to my friend and thought I'll dust buster it up later
I moved them downstairs and tried to distract them with all their toys in the rec room only to find them 15 minutes later giggling hysterically in the pantry. ( I had been typing an email from my phone to a prospective Real Estate customer-trying to multitask here, people!) I had to find out what was so funny. They had opened and dumped out an entire bag of buckwheat flour that Chris had brought home from work the day before. My thoughts of the aroma of buttermilk buckwheat pancakes went out the window. So I removed them from that mess AND while vacuuming up the flour in the pantry, which took about 10 minutes, I found Sadie pulling all the stuffing out of the back of the pillow from the couch. At that point I threw my hands up and said "What is going on?" I felt like I was having a Denice the Menace moment.
Wish I had captured all those moments on film but my OCD kicked into overdrive and I just started cleaning it up. However, I did catch all these moments of them hard at work.
